Dear Prospective Host Families...
Thank you for your interest in hosting students. Global Student Services, USA, is an international (as well as national) student placement service. We have been placing students from around the world in local family homes for over 10 years. Basically, students live with you for a period of time while attending college.
Our students come from many countries to study at local universities and schools. Some come to learn English, others to pursue degree programs or attend trade/vocational schools. Our homestays are of many backgrounds and nationalities. They range from single people, single parents, families, professionals and retired people. As the demands for host families is always growing, we are in search of hosts who wish to take in a student from one month to forty weeks and longer.
Our program has three options:
Room Only
Room & Breakfast
Room and 2 Meals Daily
All we ask is that you make the student feel at home, and if he or she desires, to be a part of the family. For the room & meals student, we require that you provide breakfast (or have food items available) and a good, healthy, home cooked dinner. For the room & breakfast student, we require that you have self-serve breakfast food items available for the student, daily.
We are also working with high school students. The meal requirement is 2 meals daily on school days and 3 meals daily on non-school days. You do not have to prepare breakfast or lunch, just have the items available for the student to hellp themselves.
All host families receive compensation. Payments vary depending on the location and option. Please contact our office for the rate in your area. We are currently and proudly offering our services throughout Santa Monica, Los Angeles, South Bay, San Fernando and San Gabriel Valley, as well as other parts of Los Angeles County and into Orange County.
After we received your complete application, as time allows, we will contact you to set up an in-home interview. Please note which day(s) and time(s) are best for us to reach you, and best possible day(s) and time(s) for the in-home interview.
